About Us

International Children’s Fund: A Beacon of Hope
At the International Children’s Fund, we are more than a charity; we are a lifeline to those in dire need. For over 50 years, we’ve been recognized among the top global charities working to transform lives. Since 1978, ICF has focused on helping children and their families in Africa, India, and Pakistan survive and grow into self-sufficiency. What sets us apart from similar organizations is our operational model. We have built a network of caring, intentional relationships with local African missionary workers and native partners to deliver tangible hope and essential services to the world’s most impoverished children and their families. This grassroots approach ensures aid is not only timely and culturally relevant but also addresses the most critical needs of these communities, making ICF one of the top charities to donate to in 2025 and beyond.
Your generous donations have allowed ICF to give the gifts of life, health, and hope to vulnerable children and their families through meals, clothing, water wells, medical aid, and education. Because of our unique model, we’re able to stretch each dollar and deliver maximum benefit. 99.8% of all donated funds go toward program services.
Learn More About Our ModelWhat Makes Us Unique
Our unique, grassroots approach allows us to work quickly and efficiently in ways that other charitable organizations may not be able to. Besides the fact that 99.8% of all donations go directly toward the mission, we are proud to share other attributes that make us different from the rest:

- We Go Where Others Will Not – We primarily operate in rural villages in Africa and India where logistics often frustrate traditional relief efforts.
- We Operate Locally – We have a network of dedicated indigenous pastors – boots on the ground in the villages – who serve as our eyes and caring hands within the local communities.
- We are Committed to Making a Sustainable Difference – We support programs that sustain life (including food distribution, housing, and medicine) and programs that create self-sufficiency (including farming, water wells, educational programs, and micro-commerce).
- We are Volunteer-Based – We use volunteers rather than highly paid staff to stretch each dollar of your donations to deliver the maximum benefit to those in need.
- We Have a Long History of Success – We have been delivering services to desperately poor children and their families for more than 50 years.
A Warehouse Filled with God’s Light
If you expected the U.S. headquarters of the International Children’s Fund to be a modern office complex, prepare to be disappointed. However, if you’re an African missionary in need of essential supplies, the gray, old warehouse building that houses the center of our global operations looks a lot like heaven. The contents of the warehouse make all the difference, with one corner of the room filled with pallets of food for feeding the hungry in Africa, India, and Pakistan. In another corner lie the boxes of sterile medical supplies that a rural medical clinic is eagerly awaiting in one of our strategic villages.
Located in Neenah, Wisconsin, our humble headquarters keeps overhead costs down so that we can focus on our mission.
