How Your Donation Is Used

Food & Nutrition

The dreams of tomorrow cannot be reached without meeting the physical needs of today. We work with local partners to provide basic human necessities. $25 provides 75 nutritious meals. $100 can help expand the fields that feed hundreds.

Education

Through your contributions, we create systematic educational infrastructure that brings hope to an entire generation of African children. $100 will pay school fees for 2 kids for an entire year.

Qualified Charitable Distributions

A Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD) allows individuals aged 70½ or older to donate up to $100,000 directly from their IRA to a qualified charity, reducing their taxable income and fulfilling their required minimum distribution.

How to Make a QCD to ICF:

1. Contact Your IRA Custodian: Reach out to the financial institution that manages your IRA and request a direct transfer form to make a QCD.
2. Specify the Amount: Decide the amount you wish to donate. Remember, the maximum annual amount that qualifies for a QCD is $100,000.
3. Direct the Funds: Direct the funds to be paid directly to the International Children’s Fund to qualify for tax benefits under the QCD rules.
4. Notify Us: Please inform us of your donation by sending a message to [email protected] so we can properly acknowledge your generous support and provide you with a receipt for your tax records.

Donating Stock

Donating stock to the International Children’s Fund can be a financially beneficial way to support our mission. If you’ve held the stock for more than a year, you may avoid paying capital gains tax on any increase in value—tax savings that you can’t receive from donating cash.

How to Donate Stock to ICF:

1. Contact Your Broker: Provide your broker with details about the stock you wish to donate, including the number of shares.
2. Transfer Details: Ask your broker to initiate a transfer to the International Children’s Fund.
3. Notify Us: Inform us of your stock donation by contacting [email protected] with the specifics of your gift. This allows us to track the donation and provide you with a receipt for your tax records.
