Among our many goals for humanitarian aid is the provision of healthcare. We understand that without proper medical care, the communities we serve are immensely vulnerable to diseases.
Many of the estimated yearly 2.9 MILLION DEATHS OF CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 5 IN SUB-SAHARAN AFRICA can be attributed to preventable causes like pneumonia, diarrhea, and malaria.
At the International Children’s Fund, we recognize the steps we need to take to help and are committed to doing so.
In Liberia, we support a large medical clinic that cares for thousands of patients each year who would have otherwise had no access to healthcare. They can receive treatment, medication, and support for little to no costs. Likewise we are constructing a clinic in Togo, which will serve not only our orphanage and school, but also the surrounding community. In this way, we are fostering sustainable change for the health of generations to come. Although the paint is barely dry, hundreds of patients are already being treated.
Alongside clinical healthcare, we are committed to providing pharmaceuticals. Last year, we supplied more than 3.8 MILLION DOSES of life-saving medication in our clinics and healthcare facilities in surrounding areas. These medications treat issues ranging from diarrhea to HIV-AIDs.
We also diligently work to provide preventative medical supplies as a part of our health impact goals. Stewarding MOSQUITO NETS is an immensely important aspect of our mission, as the tens of thousands of nets we distribute are a safeguard against malaria. Although the little girl in this picture may not understand it, the mosquito net she is holding could very well save her life.
Many of the children we encounter through our outreach also struggle with poor eye vision, hindering their ability to receive an education and have social mobility. We have shipped several TENS OF THOUSANDS OF PAIRS OF CORRECTIVE EYEGLASSES to our missions for distribution. The glasses will empower these children to attend school, work, and participate in society.
Regular giving helps us support our missions in their efforts to make sustainable improvements in the lives of desperately poor children and their families.
Finally, we remain committed to our DEWORMING AND JIGGER ERADICATION efforts. These parasitic worms, as described by our partner, were “taking the childhood from our children” and leaving them malnourished and vulnerable. In Uganda, Pastor Peterson Kasharu is well on his way to achieving his annual goal of treating over 10,000 VULNERABLE CHILDREN in rural villages in Uganda. As you can see in this picture, the children are eager and joyous to be receiving such life-saving medication.
Regular giving helps us support our missions in their efforts to make sustainable improvements in the lives of desperately poor children and their families. We call these donors HOPE AMBASSADORS because they help ICF to provide hope to those who truly face life and death needs in Africa, India, and Pakistan. Please consider becoming a Hope Ambassador. I encourage you to visit our website, www.icfaid.org or call our office at (920) 729-5721 to learn about this incredible program.
Please know that every gift, no matter how large or small, is an answer to our prayers and an investment in the life of a child. From the bottom of my heart, I thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.
Thank you and God Bless,

Become a Hope Ambassador
It can be easy to skim past this verse, but the historical context of an “ambassador” brings a wealth of meaning. Such ambassadors or delegates, whether Jewish or Greco-Roman, came with the authority of the sender, in his place, to secure his interests. The reality is, God is making his appeal through us, and wants to secure His very own interests.
