Our supporters, volunteers, and ministry partners certainly put a lot of love into giving at Christmas and throughout the year. I share two stories of Christmas at our missions last year and how, thanks to your generous support, we are favorably impacting the lives of those who need us the most.

These pastors are responsible for everything from local feeding programs to the construction of orphanages; from drilling water wells to the delivery of food to a remote village; from conducting educational programs to managing a medical clinic.
Sustainable Food Supplies
My Brother’s Keeper Orphanage in Liberia has implemented extensive farming and animal husbandry programs. From tilling the field (by hand), to planting, to feeding the pigs – its hard work and everyone has a role to play.
Education For Everyone
ICF is committed to make a sustainable improvement in the lives and communities that we serve. As such, providing education is a core activity. We support educational programs at all our missions.
Water Is Life
In Africa, villagers often rely on surface water (streams, ponds, or even puddles) for water. These sources of water are also used for bathing, washing, and for livestock. As a result, the water is often tainted and not suitable for drinking.
Feeding Those In Need
With your help, the International Children’s Fund provides more than 1.5 million meals per year to desperately poor children and their families. We buy rice, meat products, beans, gari, cornmeal, and powdered milk locally.
Medical Supplies For All
The Harvard Medical Review estimates that more than 8 million people die each year from easily treatable medical issues. In Africa, treatable medical issues like diarrhea kills more than 2,000 children per day and malaria kills more than 400,000 people each year – the majority of which are under the age of 5.
Happy Mother’s Day!
When there is a shortage of medication, Mothers often go without. There are countless examples of the extraordinary challenges faced by Mothers in rural Africa, the following are two of their stories.
My Brother’s Keeper
My Brother’s Keeper (MBK) Orphanage in Careysburg, Liberia is one of the orphanages supported by ICF. Pastor Ralph Galego shared some recent photos along with a touching story about Zubaru Kessely (aka “Superman”) pictured below at the age of 4 and today.
An Incredible Year!
As a volunteer-based organization, we strive to deliver the most program services at the lowest cost. Our efforts are recognized by the charity rating services who consistently award us their highest rating.
Christmas Generosity
Last Christmas, Pastor Paasewe of our Living Word Missions touched the lives of more than 800 desperately poor children living at orphanages in northwestern Liberia. He distributed food and small Christmas gifts. This was the first time that these children experienced the joy of Christmas.
Thanksgiving from Togo!
With our support, during the last 2 years, Geoffrey has constructed an orphanage, a fish farm, a water well and even a new school. He is tireless in his efforts to feed, house, and educate desperately poor children in Togo.
